In an attempt to dive deeper into the relationship between food security, climate change, and sociocultural disparity, the Food for Thought E-Magazine features original longform articles on the effect of food (in)security on the Indian populace. With articles ranging from the farm-to-plate process, to sustainable agriculture and its effect on mitigating the adverse effects of climate change, this E-Magazine offers a comprehensive look at the state of food and the climate in the Indian subcontinent.
A salient issue with climate change education for younger audiences is an inability to observe the adverse effects of climate change, which in turn, affects adoption of material. In keeping with the theme of the Food Independence Initiative India’s mission, the FIII Activity Book aims to instruct readers on the importance of nutrition and sustainable agriculture through a series of engaging, child-friendly activities. Focusing on food sources, sustainable crop growth, the FIII makes higher-order climate change topics digestible for younger audiences.
